Munster Indoor Pentathlon 2015

Great performances yesterday by all our athletes who competed in Nenagh in the multi events.The U-11 girls had 3 events longjump, 60m Sprint &  600m.Katie ,Nicole,Grace and Kate all performed really well in their events. The U-13  competition was very close right to the last event Ava and Sarah had five events Longjump, Highjump, Shot ,60mHurdles & 800m and finishing just out of the medals in 5th &6th respectively overall.  Rosemaire  also had five events and finished in 8th place on the day.

Riverstick/kinsale Athletes Compete in Clonakilty Marathon

Congratulations to Seamus Cahill who competed in the Clonakilty Marathon in a super time of 3hrs 21mins and was 3rd in his category.Well done also to Debbie McCarthy and  Helen O’ Callaghan who raced the 10k in Clonakilty and were 3rd and 7th respectively in their categories.Lovely running by all.

Eoin Redmond wins Silver at National Cross Country in Santry 2014

Great performances from Kate Redmond,Eoin Redmond and Alan O’Donovan today at the National Juvenile Uueven  Cross Country Championships held in Santry.Coach Joan Allen was very impressed today with her 3 athletes representing both their Club ,County and Munster with their superb running in a very competitive field of runners.Kate in the Girls U-11 crossed the line in 11th place to take an individual medal and leading both Cork and Munster to Team Gold.Her brother Eoin showing great talent in the Boys U-13 finishing in 2nd place  and also leading Cork and Munster to Team Gold.Alan in the Boys U-15 coming home in 28th place in a field of 125 athletes and also on the winning Cork and Munster Team Gold team.Congratulations Kate ,Eoin  and Alan.

Munster B Juvenile Cross Country Championships

Young Amy Buckley ran a great race recently in Watergrasshill  in the Girls U-9 race crossing the line in 7th place and winning an individual Munster Medal and also  a Cork Silver Team Medal well done Amy.Sarah Deasy also won a Cork  Gold Team Medal in the Girls U-15 race followed by Matthew Roche finishing in 7th place in the Boys U-17 race.Great  running by all our athletes who competed.

Munster Uneven Age Cross Country Championships-Co.Clare

The Munster Juvenile Cross Country took place in Co. Clare on Sunday 9th November .Ryan Mc Carthy running very well in the under 9 boys race and crossing the line in 2nd place followed by Kate Redmond  in the under 11 girls race finishing in 11th place.In the under 13 boys Eoin Redmond was very impressive winning the Munster Title and Alan O’ Donovan in 6th place in the under 15 boys. Great running by all our athletes on Sunday.

Munster Cross Country Championships 2014

The first Munster Cross Country  race took place today at Two Mile,Borris, Co. Tipperary.We had a girls and boys team competing in the under 10 event ,Aoife competed in the under 12 race and Elaine and Debbie running very well in the Novice Womens Race.The girls under 10 just missed out on the team bronze finishing in a very strong 4th place in a very fast and competitive race.Nicole Buckley was the 6th Cork girl across the finish line today.
