11 Medals in Munster Championships

Great Performances by all our club athletes in the Munster Championships.

Conor O’Donoghue crossed the finish line 1st to take the gold medal in the boys u-9  3oom race.

Grace Coyle jumped 3.62m to take silver in the girls u-11 longjump.

Kate Farley finished 3rd in the 60m sprint and got bronze.

In the pairs U-11 Grace and Kate won the team Silver Medal in both the sprint and longjump .

Ava Coyle jumped 4.72m to take silver in the girls u-13 longjump.

Lia Farley jumped 4.83m to win gold in the girls u-14 longjump.

Eoin Redmond won gold with a time of 4:44.12 in the boys u-14  1500m race.

County B Championship Results

Ryan McCarthy won gold in the sprints,Jonathan Walsh  just missed out of  the medals.David Healy got 3rd in the 600m ,Joey O Callaghan 3rd in the  Turbo Javelin and Conor Green 4th in the shot .Well done boys !

Girls U-14 ran a very strong race also today , Sarah Murphy and Ava Coyle  running up an age with Rosemaire Buckley and Lia Farley and crossing the finish line in 3rd place.Well done girls!

In the Combined Events Cathal  Barry won gold in the U-11 Boys,U -13 Girls Ava Coyle won gold and Sarah Murphy took the bronze medal and in the  U-14 Girls Lia Farley also won gold.

Munster Pentathlon 2015

Alan O’ Donovan  was a great role model to our younger athletes at the recent Munster Pentathlon in the C.I.T . Alan won 2nd place overall in the U-16 category . Lia Farley & Ava Coyle finished 4th place in their age divisions.  Grace Coyle ,  Nicole Buckley ,  Katie O’ Regan  & Kate Farley all competed in the U-11 category. Well Done Everyone!

 

Leevale Open Sports

In C.I.T. open sports  last weekend many of our athletes had impressive wins and enjoyed a great day with plenty of trophies to show at the end of the day.Great running by Alan O’Donovan in the boys U-16 -1500m coming in a very strong 2nd place. Kate Farley winning the u-11 sprint final and Ava Coyle winning the u-13  Longjump and 2nd in the sprint final.Kate ,Katie and Grace taking 2nd place in the relay also.

National Indoor Competition 2015

Recently 3 of our athletes competed at the National Indoor Competition in Athlone.Orlaith Hickey ,Lia Farley and Ava Coyle were all medal winners in the Munsters therfore earning them a place in the National Finals.Orlaith competing in the U-18 Shot , Lia and Ava in the U-14 and u-13 Longjump .Congratulations on reaching the finals girls.

Day 2 Indoor Munster Championships

The U-9 to U-12 Indoor Championships took place this weekend in Nenagh.

Conor O’ Donoghue had a great weekend in his first championships for the club. He won a bronze medal in the long jump, placed fourth in the sprint final and a very impressive second place in the 300m race.
